If not, then the profiles need additional updating to support Arch package's paths. I suggest opening a bug report against the apparmor and samba packages (a single bug report against both). Downgrading samba and smbclient on the server reverted successfully to the previous behaviour, I'll guess I'll wait for a fix or more info from the samba team.
